San Francisco to Alameda is a four hour round trip, and a large part of that is the Bay Bridge; which I have decided that there is no good time to cross. Today I will pick up Bubba the Bus in Alameda for the final time, as my friend has hooked me up with a … Read more
While attempting to remove the carpet in Bubba the Bus, during my Skoolie Conversion last week, all I accomplished was bruising my body and breaking my back; so, I did what any resourceful woman would do in a situation like this: I went to YouTube. After scouring tons of videos, I came up with a plan; and although it is yet to be tested, I am confident in its success.
Going to the DMV, (Division of Motor Vehicles), is a harrowing experience for most. However, I have been blessed with good DMV/Car Karma, so the visit is usually painless. I arrive with a book and lunch, expecting it to be a day trip; but I am in and out in 2 hours flat; having barely … Read more
There is nothing more beautiful than San Francisco on a sunny morning–(although, I am partial to Karl the Fog), the sun is always a welcome surprise. (Allegedly the motel is under new management, but, the room was lovely for a mere $39.00. Starbucks was located across the street, … Read more
Albuquerque to Flagstaff–a mere 323 miles. I woke up early, and although I was told there was a lovely breakfast at the hotel, I wasn’t down to give it a go, considering how horrible the place was. If I could give it negative stars, I would, but, Trip Advisor requires at least one star in … Read more
I got up this morning in Shamrock, Texas; checked the oil and water on Bubba–and began the trek Westwards. I didn’t plan to make Albuquerque, as it is nearly 400 miles–and that’s a lot of driving and heat. But, I LOVE this bus. He is SO fun to drive; I find myself looking forward to … Read more
Who was forced to read The Grapes of Wrath in High School? Weren’t we all? Who chose to review the Cliff Notes, instead? Didn’t we all? Well, I had a grandmother who brought me a box of books each month, and John Steinbeck was in that box. The story is actually pretty great. It’s set … Read more
